Pupils Celebrate Leadership Awards

Our Young Sports Leaders programme is set to continue, and this term we’re working in three more schools, providing a variety of activities, all centred on developing key skills, such as leadership, communication, teamwork, cooperation and respect. The programme has been jointly funded by Extended Provision and The Big Lottery Awards For All scheme. We aim to provide around 300 pupils with a nationally recognised Sports Leaders UK Award during this academic year.

Lincoln City FC Sport and Education Trust is an approved assessment centre for delivering Sports Leaders UK qualifications, and we intend to continue our Leadership programme in 2011/2012. Pictured here are pupils from The Meadows Primary School, who were joined by Imps star Danny Hone, during a recent leadership session. Danny was extremely impressed by the quality of the pupils’ leadership skills. Every candidate in our programme receives a free Sports Leaders UK t-shirt, as well as being invited to a game at Lincoln City courtesy of the Sport and Education Trust.
