Education Aims
Lincoln City FC Sport & Education Trust offers a wide and expansive education programme which aims to provide a range of quality physical education provision, supported by a number of formal national qualifications, all within the framework of the National Curriculum.
Our work includes delivering curriculum-time PPA support, school workshops on a range of focussed social topics, leadership awards and qualifications, as well as other bespoke education projects. All our work is delivered by qualified staff who are continually supported with appropriate training, personal development plans and CPD which exceeds the criteria outlined by our governing body The Football League Trust.
Our PPA programme focuses on quality physical education provision at Key Stage 1 and 2. Our schemes of work are designed to meet the needs of a wide cross-section of the new National Curriculum for PE and our lessons are designed to be inclusive, to differentiate, and of course to be fun for everyone.
Our Sports Leaders Awards programme includes three Sports Leaders UK accredited awards and qualifications – the Young Sports Leaders Award, the Day Certificate in Sports Leadership, and the Level 1 Award in Sports Leadership. Lincoln City FC Sport & Education Trust is an Accredited Assessment Centre and our staff have received appropriate Sports Leaders UK Tutor Training.
Other education projects include bespoke classroom workshops which use the power of football to tackle important social issues such as bullying, racism and discrimination, respect, and healthy lifestyles. Much of our work is supported by Lincoln City first team players who are keen to visit schools to engage with and inspire pupils using their status as professional footballers.
