Apprenticeships
The Lincoln City FC Sport & Education Trust ‘Apprenticeship Programme’ provides its learners with national qualifications alongside a wide range of work placement opportunities. LCFCSET licensed tutors and assessors deliver NVQ qualifications including Activity Leadership, Sports Development and Customer Service. At the same time, apprentices gain valuable experience working alongside qualified LCFCSET coaching staff in every area of our work, from disability football to working with the elderly.
And because LCFCSET works across such a diverse field of activities, every apprentice can enjoy a unique learning experience, building a work placement programme around their own areas of interest. Plus, LCFCSET can call on a wide number of working partners and clients in the activity and leisure sector – for example Lincoln YMCA and The Showroom Youth Centre project – not only broadening the experience for its apprentices but more importantly helping them develop lifelong skills such as leadership, communication and teamwork.
The benefits of apprenticeships are clear. National qualifications alongside real experience in the workplace look great on a CV and many employers look favourably on candidates who have completed apprenticeships. And of course, every apprentice gets paid while they learn.
In the future, LCFCSET aims to broaden the range of qualifications on offer, and also broaden the work placement opportunities for its apprentices along the way.
