This week saw the launch of Lincoln City FC Sport & Education Trusts's county disability league kick off. The league is county wide and set up in partnership with the Lincolnshire FA. The league is run in a festival format with all the teams coming together at a central venue which will change at each event. There are currently 12 teams involved in the league from all across the county including Boston, Grimsby, Gainsborough, Horncastle, Skegness and Lincoln.

The first event was kindly held by Boston United at the Jakeman's Stadium home of the Pilgrims, where all of the fixtures were played on the fantastic first team pitch. The players were able to enjoy the whole match day experience with the use of Boston United's changing rooms before making their way out on to the pitch via the tunnel. There was a crowd of about 150 people to cheer on the teams from the terraces.

Damon Parkinson Community Imps Disability Officer Said "The day was a massive success, all of the teams had plenty of game time and really good competition from their opposition. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Richard Houghton and his team at Boston United for their hospitality and excellent facilities and wish them all the best for the season. Hopefully the league will continue to be as successful as this event and grow and expand from this great starting point"
