LCFCSET's February Football Tournament Extravaganza has been a great success this year, with over 100 bookings throughout the week. After the 3G had been put out of commission a few days prior, prospects of playing much football were slim. However the weather held off and the tournaments went on as planned.
Given a wealth of choice, kids had to pick a team to represent in their respective tournaments: World Cup, Champions League, FA Cup, African Cup of Nations and European Championship. Once their teams were chosen they were split into two leagues, one younger and one older. Teams then faced off to determine who would play in the finals. Not only this, but those who were waiting to play had the opportunity to practice skills and techniques off the pitch with an FA qualified coach. Children also had a chance to quiz a selection of Lincoln City FC players (including John Nutter, Joe Anyon, Andy Hutchinson & Simon Russel) that came down to answer questions and sign certificates
Everyone who attended received a congratulatory certificate, signed by players, and the wining teams were awarded medals. Look out for our next Holiday Courses in the Easter break.
